Football League Youth Alliance action
Northampton Town's Under 18s travelled to Milton Keynes Dons in the Football League Youth Alliance on Wednesday.
A young Cobblers side was beaten 2-0, but youth team coach Craig Hinton says his side will be better for the experience.
"We gave a run out to a lot of the younger players as we look forward to next season," he said.
"They will have the benefit of that experience and they will have learned a lot from this game."
