AIDY - 'IT IS IN OUR OWN HANDS'

6 April 2013

The views of the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd reflected on the 1-0 defeat at Bradford City.

"I'm disappointed with the result but the players can take a lot of heart from the performance," he said.

"On another day we could have got a draw and I'm very positive about our performance in the second half especially.

"Although we haven't got anything in terms of points from the two games this week I do think we have turned a real corner in terms of our application and attitude.

"It's a tough place to come and as I've said all the way along Bradford are a good side.

"A mistake cost us but it was a mistake made by two young players who I think are going to go on and have great careers.

"It was an unforced error and in a tight game like that you can't afford to make mistakes.

"I have to thank the fans for their support and I hope they keep the faith. Our support is great and i know that we are going to win away.

"I genuinely think that it's meant to be for us to go up.

"We are still in third with four games to go and it is absolutely still in our hands."
