The views of the Cobblers boss
Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd on Saturday's 3-3 draw at Burton.
"We weren't at our best today, far from it but the positive thing is that we've still taken something from the game," he said.
"We never got going until 30 minutes to go and when we did we played some good stuff and we peppered their box.
"The first half is the worst we've played since I've been here and Lee Nicholls kept us in the game with some great saves.
"We didn't ask nearly enough questions of Burton in the first half and the two goals we conceded should have been defended much better. As good a team as Burton are we gave them a two goal lead and you just can't do that.
"Credit to the players they showed great character and spirit to come back from that but the irritation for me is that you shouldn't need to be punched before you start to fight back.
"Alex Nicholls is in a real purple patch of form at the minute and his goal was as good a goal as I've ever seen. He's got that ability and he works his socks off for the team.
"Considering how the game went and the way we played for 60 minutes it's a good point. We were very well supported again today and in the end the players showed a lot of spirit and character and gave the supporters something to shout about."
