The views of the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd on his side's 1-0 win at Dagenham.

"I thought we played really well and deserved to win the game," he said.

"We always knew this was going to be a difficult game especially after the energy levels we used up at Fleetwood on Saturday and this is not an easy place to come to and win.

"Dagenham are a tough team to beat here and they make you work very hard for everything you get.

"Bayo played really well, he lead the line great and like I spoke about the other day it's good to see that variety we've got in the team now.

"I was really pleased with Ishmel, he's trained well and I thought he was excellent tonight.

"We defended well, Dagenham are a good well organised team but I think on tonight's performance we just edged it.

"Ben Harding has turned his ankle but I'm not quite sure how bad or not it is at the minute. We will assess it tonight and then get him in on Wednesday to see what the damage is.

"So far this season we've been pretty strong at home but you've got to be able to win away from home as well if you want to be successful.

"We stood up to Dagenham tonight, we dogged it out and with the players we've got I always feel that we've got a goal in us."
