SCORE WITH BEACON BINGO

1 October 2012

Cobblers fan first to win

Score with Beacon Bingo is the club's brand new matchday competition that takes place at selected home matches this season.

Three markers are placed on the pitch between the goal and the half way line. The contestant has to get the ball in the goal without it touching the floor or the goal line. If the ball goes in off the woodwork, the goal stands as long as it doesn’t bounce before or on the goal line. The ball must be kicked from a stationary position on the ground level with the selected marker.

Contestants get two chances from the first marker, which is worth £25 if they get the ball in. If they miss both, they walk away with nothing. If they Score with Beacon Bingo they can either keep the money or gamble at taking a kick from the next marker. This marker will be worth £250 and they get one chance. If they score and gamble then they get one chance at the final marker on the halfway line, which is worth £1,000.

The first winner of the competition was Nile Hollowell. Nile said, "I had seen the Cardiff game where Beacon were doing during half time competition. I told my Sunday side about it, and we all attempted it on the local park saying that it would be ever so easy to win the money (not realising that we had to get it in without it bouncing!) Nearly all of us succeeded and a few even said they might start heading down to the games if they were giving money away that easily!!! Then at the Rotherham game I was pulled out of the crowd to have a go so the pressure was on, even more so when I found out it was with no bounce!"

Nile was successful and, winning £250, and he visited Beacon Bingo recently to receive his cheque.

Contestants are picked at random from the crowd to take part. To register your interest please email scorewithbeaconbingo@ntfc.tv supplying a contact mobile phone number for the day and please let us know which stand you will be sitting in. The competition is open to home supporters only and all entrants must be over 18 years of age.
