LUKE OUT FOR THREE MONTHS

4 October 2012

Johnson also absent for next few weeks

Northampton Town boss Aidy Boothroyd has revealed that Luke Guttridge will be out for three months, with John Johnson missing for 4 to 6 weeks.

Cobblers midfielder Luke Guttridge has been ruled out for three months after picking up an injury against Gillingham on Tuesday night.

“Luke has got a broken metatarsal,” said Boothroyd.

“He will have that pinned in the next few days and that is probably going to rule him out for about three months.

“John Johnson has nipped a cartilage in his knee so that’s going to be four to six weeks.

“They are too quite big injuries but this is why you have a squad and that’s what the loan market is there for as well.

“I’ve made some enquiries in the last couple of days and we’ve got a few things to tie up on a loan signing so hopefully we should have something to announce in the next few days, either before or after the weekend.”
