The views of the Cobblers boss
Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd on the narrow home defeat against Bradford City.
“We knew it was going to be a tough physical game and we matched Bradford but then we gave away a very poor goal,” he said.
“We’ve talked about how they could hurt us and we’ve worked on that in training but it was a very soft goal to concede.
“I’m very disappointed but for long periods we were in the game.
“Bradford are a big strong side but we didn’t impose ourselves enough on the game.
“I thought Danny East was terrific tonight but we’ve all got to be at it and even when we are not playing well we have got to make sure that we don’t concede daft goals.
“There is a little bit of work to be done on the training pitch and in the office as well.
“We’re not a team who should be getting beaten 1-0 at home and if we are going to be successful we have got to make sure that we take points out of games like this.
“We do a lot of things right but it is those key moments that make a difference.
“Perseverance is always the key, we’ve got to keep at it and it will turn.
“We’ve already got five players on loan so we might have to shift things around a little bit, I know exactly what we need as a club and we will find a way to do that.”
