YOUTH BEAT POSH FOR FOURTH WIN IN A ROW

3 November 2012

Football League Youth Alliance Cup action

Northampton Town’s youth team travelled to Peterborough on Saturday in the Football League Youth Alliance Cup.

The Cobblers won the game 1-0 thanks to a Callum Powell penalty, recording their fourth win in a row and their fifth clean sheet in succession.

“We are on a good little run at the moment,” said under 18s coach Craig Hinton.

“The performance was okay, we were a little bit sloppy at times but overall I think we deserved the win.

“We defended well and to keep another clean sheet is very pleasing.

“The boys are all working really hard and we are defending well as a team which is the main thing.”
