BOOTHROYD FEELS DRAW WAS FAIR

3 November 2012

The views of the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd reflects on the 1-1 draw against Bradford City.

“It was a real game of two halves,” he said.

“In the first half we were poor by our standards but in the second half we were much more incisive and penetrative.

“We moved the ball quicker and it was an excellent finish from Louis Moult.

“Louis hits the target and his fitness will improve the more games he plays.

“I didn’t think we looked as much of a threat today but I still thought we created enough chances to win the game.

“Bradford will probably think the same though so in the end a draw was probably just about fair.

“I’m glad we are still in the FA Cup because it’s important to the club, I would have liked to have got it done and dusted today but it wasn’t to be and we live to fight another day.

“Our away form is something that I want us to improve upon and it’s important that we go to York now and build on this.

“In the league we have got to make sure that we can stay in the pack and we want to stay in the FA Cup for as long as we can.

“We’re not quite where I want us to be in terms of our attacking threat but we will get there.”
