AIDY RELISHING BRADFORD TIE

2 November 2012

The views of the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd is relishing Saturday’s FA Cup first round tie against Bradford City.

“I’m sure it will be a cracking cup tie and I’m really looking forward to it,” he said.

“It’s two teams that know each other very well so there is a little bit of history and of course it’s an FA Cup game and we want to get through to the next round.

“It means a lot to us to get through to the next round and it means more revenue for the club.

“I’d imagine that Bradford will come here still euphoric on the back of their win at Wigan and we have got to make sure that we take advantage of our lack of game in midweek to see if we can get a good result.

“The result last Saturday was fantastic and well deserved against a very good team.

“Port Vale are second in the league for a reason but you wouldn’t have thought that on Saturday because of the way we played.

“Louis Moult did very well when he came on and this might be the time for him to show what he is all about.

“I know what a good player Louis is but now is the time for him to prove that we don’t need to go and spend money bringing someone else in."
