AIDY DELIGHTED WITH AWAY SUCCESS

10 November 2012

The views of the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd was delighted with the 4-2 win at Accrington.

"It was a good game of football," he said.

"We thought we could put Accrington on the back foot and we thought we could get at them.

"At 2-1 down we came back with real vigour and real purpose and for the last half an hour I thought we were absolutely fantastic.

"Bayo seems to be thriving at the minute and I've said to all the players you have got to be at it all of the time if you want to be successful.

"Jake and Ishmel were both excellent when they came on, it's very easy to sulk when you go out on loan but the best players react in the right way to that.

"Jake obviously wants to be here, he's got a contract until the end of the season and if he keeps playing like that then he's got a future here.

"Jake and Ishmel changed the game and Chris Hackett was exceptional.

"We are a little bit closer to the pack now than we were before this game and after Bradford we've then got two home games

"We won't get carried away with this result, it's a long campaign and we've got to make sure that we stay right in there.

"Bradford is a very important game for us, they are a very good side and it will be difficult. We know each other inside out now but we go there in buoyant mood and now it's about making sure we can get through to the next round of the cup."
