ADAM JUDGES 12TH MO COMPETITION

Eastenders star chooses our 12th ‘Mo’

In the lead up to our Movember game on Tuesday November 20th, we encouraged all fans to take part in growing a moustache, or mo, for the Movember charity.

We were absolutely delighted to see so many fans getting in the spirit and sporting their mo’s for the evening’s game, which will have surely helped to keep them just a little warmer on a cold evening! With such a fine array of facial hair on display around the ground, we thought that it was only fair to have a 12th mo competition, whereby the best moustaches were picked out from the crowd, judged and the best one would be chosen.

Adam Woodyatt, better known as Ian Beale from Eastenders, was on hand to judge the moustaches at half-time, as the contestants lined up in front of the main stand. With so many fine mo’s to choose from, Adam left it to the crowd to decide who would be Northampton Town’s 12th mo, picking the winner based on the loudest cheer!

5-year old Leland Webster wasn’t quite the winner everyone expected it to be, but the crowd took a shine to the innovative drawn on moustache that he had for the game. His parents said: “ Leland’s a big fan of the Cobblers and was so excited about the match that he wanted me to draw a moustache on him so he could be part of Movember

“Leland was over the moon to have won and won’t put his trophy down – he even slept with it the first night!”

All those who took part can be proud of what they had grown throughout the month and have contributed to a really great cause. You can still donate at http://uk.movember.com/mospace/2847249.

We would like to thank everyone for their support.
