A new look for ntfc.co.uk
Welcome to the new Northampton Town web site, we hope you enjoy using the new official site.
This site is not a finished product. Far from it. The old site served us well for 5 years, but with the internet and technology moving on, it began to look quite dated.
We know there are some issues with the site at the moment. Not all of the site is as populated as we would like it to be, but that will happen over time. The new site is so different in the way we produce and update content after 10 years of doing something very different it will take some getting used to. We are learning as we go along!
In addition, we know some statistics and the playing squad is not correct. Both of these areas are controlled by the Press Association and we have made numerous requests for corrections to be made. We will continue to make those requests until it happens. We know, for example, that Bayo scored 18 goals last season, the Press Association think he got 22! Past experience tells us these changes won't happen as quickly as we would like, but we will keep chasing.
The launch of the new site is also the first time we have got to see some of the content live, and some of the commercial images/messages are distorted. We have resubmitted correct artwork to Football League Interactive and hope this will be uploaded as soon as possible.
We also know the new site takes a while to load on mobile phones, and that is feedback we will pass on to FLi.
But enough of the teething problems, we know that in time this site will give us far more flexibility and power to show off the great work the club does in many areas and hopefully we will have some on the field success to report on as well.
70 odd clubs are all launching their new sites in the next few weeks. We are one of the first clubs to do so.
