Squad to play Saturday practice match
The Northampton Town squad will play a training game against the local Novigrad side on Saturday afternoon as they bring their Croatian pre-season training camp to a close."We will use it as an extended training session but all of the lads will get 45 minutes," said boss Aidy Boothroyd.
"Novigrad are a team who play in the Croatian Division 3 and they are part time but I have seen them train and they will give us a good test.
"It won't be anything more than an extended training session for us, but it will get the lads used to playing 11 a side and to give them this game as a little reward for the work they have done.
"Novigrad have been back training a lot longer than us so it will be tough for us, but we are not looking at doing anything other than giving the lads the feel of playing a match again."
