Your chance to play on the pitch at Sixfields
The Stanair Cup is the competition that gives players representing youth teams and primary schools the chance to compete on the biggest stage of their lives. The half-time penalty shoot out takes place on the Sixfields Stadium pitch with fans in the stands cheering on, just as if they were pros!
Teams consist of a goalkeeper and seven penalty takers who shoot out alternately. The winners progress from a round of 16 onto the quarter finals and beyond, whilst the unlucky losers receive a medal each. The overall winners of the knockout will receive a training session from the Northampton Town FC gaffer as their prize!
For the first time ever, the Cobblers have expanded the format of the Stanair Cup to include four age groups from under-8 through to under-11. It means clubs entering teams in each age group can qualify for the super-cheap tickets available for groups of 100 or more people.
