Cobblers boss previews Cheltenham clash
Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd is really looking forward to Saturday’s visit of third-placed Cheltenham Town to Sixfields.
“This is a game I’m really looking forward to,” he said.
“We were disappointed after the defeat on Wednesday night but we will come back fighting.
“When you lose a game you just have to take it on the chin and all you can try and do is win the next game.
“When I looked at the fixture list at the start of the season Cheltenham at home at the start of December was a game that I picked out.
“Cheltenham are a really good side and I’ve got a lot of time for Mark Yates as a manager and as a person.
“This game is a real benchmark for us, Cheltenham are a top three team but we’ve shown this season that we are good enough to trouble anybody.
“Lewis Hornby was very unlucky to miss out on Wednesday but I just wanted to give him a bit of a breather.
“We’ve got really good competition for places in central midfield and as a manager it is always nice to have options.”
