Cobblers striker makes top three
Cobblers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa has been shortlisted for the npower League 2 Player of the Month award for November, although manager Aidy Boothroyd has not made it on to the shortlist for the Manager of the Month honour.
Bayo scored seven goals in five games in November, including the first hat-trick of his career in the 4-2 win at Accrington Stanley.
Meanwhile, despite the Cobblers managing three wins and a draw in 5 league games in the month, scoring twelve goals in the process, Aidy Boothroyd has been overlooked for the Manager of the Month shortlist.
The nominations for the npower League 2 Player of the Month Award for November are:
• Adebayo Akinfenwa (Northampton Town) - striker
• Jamie Cureton (Exeter City) – striker
• Femi Ilesanmi (Dagenham & Redbridge) – full-back
The nominations for the npower League 2 Manager of the Month Award for November are:
• Paul Cook (Chesterfield)
• Paul Sturrock (Southend United)
• Paul Tisdale (Exeter City)
The winners for both categories will be announced around 10am on Friday 14th December.
