Striker returns from suspension
Northampton Town will welcome Adebayo Akinfenwa back into their squad for the visit of Dagenham & Redbridge to Sixfields on New Year's Day (3pm).
The Cobblers are set to return to action after two away postponements over the festive period, and Bayo is available again having missed the win over Aldershot on December 22nd because of a one match suspension.
Luke Guttridge could also feature in the squad for the first time since early October having recovered from a broken metatarsal.
Joe Widdowson has been battling to overcome a dead leg and may be fit enough to return while a number of players see their loan spells at Sixfields officially run out after this game and the Cobblers boss will need to make decisions on those players before the visit of Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
