Cobblers boss previews Dagenham's visit
Aidy Boothroyd wants his players to use the fresh legs gained from two festive postponements to try and get a good result against Dagenham & Redbridge at Sixfields on New Year’s Day (3pm).
“We got some momentum from the win over Aldershot and we need to keep that going,” he said.
“The two postponements gave us another few days to get players fit and it means that Luke Guttridge has had a few more days on the training ground to prepare. We should also have Joe Widdowson back and John Johnson and David Artell will be close as well.
“Tuesday will be a tough game. I think Dagenham are a very good side and John Still is a top manager. He gets good players in, he gets them organised and they are hard to beat.
“Since I have been here we have got some good results against Dagenham and we need to try and continue that on Tuesday.”
