AIDY 'BEMUSED' BY ORIENT LOSS

5 December 2012

The views of the Cobblers boss

Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd reflected on the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat to Leyton Orient.

“If I’m honest I’m a bit bemused by the scoreline,” he said.

“We were by far the better team in the first half and we created two very good chances.

“Their goalkeeper kept them in it with a couple of great saves and unfortunately for us Louis Moult didn’t have his shooting boots on tonight which is very unusual for him as he is one of the best finishers in the club.

“I was disappointed again with some of the decisions made by the referee and the linesman but there is nothing we can do about that.

“It’s irritating because we wanted to win the game and we felt that we could win the game but these decisions change games.

“We should have defended better of course we should and that is something we need to address and we will address.”
