2PM KICK OFF AND TRAVEL PLANS

20 December 2012

Important information ahead of Saturday

** WE KICK OFF AT 2PM ON SATURDAY **BUY YOUR MATCH TICKETS HERE

Motorists are being urged to allow plenty of time for their journeys to Sixfields on Saturday.

The last Saturday before Christmas coincides with home games for both the Cobblers and the Saints and although the kick off times have been staggered, congestion is expected from drivers travelling to shopping areas or entering and exiting the town centre. Last weekend congestion was reported in Weedon Road throughout Saturday afternoon, despite both teams being away.

Inspector Jen Helm from Northamptonshire Police said: “We would ask motorists planning to attend the matches, or planning to go Christmas shopping in the area, to leave plenty of time for their journeys, to park considerately and prepare for delays to journey times especially when leaving the stadiums or the shopping area.”

The official car parks at Sixfields will be open from 10am on Saturday

POST MATCH ARRANGEMENTS

As part of the Saints post match traffic plan, which has been amended in some areas based on the previous experiences, both lanes on Edgar Mobbs Way will run in an outbound direction up to the Walter Tull roundabout.

Therefore, if you are leaving the ground after 4.30pm on Saturday the following will apply:

• Those supporters parked in the South Gravel Car Park on Saturday MUST turn left at the Walter Tull roundabout when leaving.
• Those supporters parked in the West VIP Car Park MUST turn right when leaving.
• Those supporters parked in the disabled area MUST turn right on to Edgar Mobbs Way when leaving.
• Supporters parked at the North end of Sixfields MUST leave the complex via the Weedon Road.

We would like to thank all supporters for their co-operation which we hope will help keep delays to a minimum.
