Enter a pre-match tournament at Goals

Over 1700 people had action packed days out last year thanks to our pre-match tournaments, which are all set to make a welcome return this season too.

Each competition takes place at Goals Soccer Centres, the home of 5-a-side in Northampton. Their modern 3G astroturf courts provide the perfect venue for our fast paced tournaments, which match teams up against opposition from other leagues.

Starting at midday, teams can expect to play three mini-league games and at least one game in a cup or plate too, with matches coming thick and fast. The events finish at 2pm, allowing an hour to get across to Sixfields for the big match, and they're totally free for any group buying tickets to cheer on The Cobblers. Teams cannot enter without coming to the match though, but large enough groups will qualify for discounts on tickets too.

The full dates for this season are:

Under 7: Dec 8th Cheltenham Town
Under 8: Apr 13th York City
Under 9: Apr 27th Barnet
Under 10: Dec 22nd Aldershot Town

Here's some feedback from last year:

"We had a fab day all round it was a fantastic way to finish the season and all the parents said they would do it again so thanks again mate hope to see you soon enjoy your summer" Graham McCallum, Banbury Irish U10s

"Just to say well done on organising the tournament and day out for us, we had a great time, you did a thoroughly professional job, very impressed! Anything else you can throw our clubs way then please do, I will certainly big you up at our next  club meeting." Ian Grimsley, Hillmorton under-15

" First competitive this season for the boys and we struggled a bit but they all really enjoyed it and the organization was excellent. Enjoyed the game as well – not the result – but at least we saw some goals." Paul Taylor, Welford Victoria under-11

"It was a great day all round despite the NTFC result. It was cool to reach the final at goals. My boys did me proud." Anne Davies, Moulton Magpies under-16
