The chance for youngsters to play at Sixfields

Following on from the success of last year's Stanair Cup, won by Towcester Primary and Brackley Town, we have expanded the competition. This year we will host 64 teams up to 4 times each, with competitions for every age group from under-8 through to under-11.

The Stanair Cup is a half-time penalty shoot out on the Sixfields pitch itself, giving local youngsters the chance to feel like pros as they compete in front of the Northampton Town crowd. Match winners will go through to the quarter finals, with the eventual winners earning a coaching session with Aidy Boothroyd.

The tournament is free, we just ask that each team competing buys tickets to cheer on the Cobblers, which are discounted too.

Here's some feedback from last year's competition:

"Boys loved the shoot out today, and the match itself." Dave Boynton, Brackley Town under-9

"Once again many thanks for hosting us, the children enjoyed the afternoon, if not the result of cobblers! We worked it out over 60 went on Tuesday and over 100 today, I will try to better it next game!" Peter Mason, Boothville Primary

"The boys loved the experience and we will be there on February 25th. We will try to bring even more supporters than we managed this time." Paul Cox, Willen under-10
