CRYOGENIC COBBLERS!

Squad use latest technology to be fresh for Plymouth

Northampton Town's players visited the cryogenic chamber at the sports injury and rehabilitation centre at Moulton College on Friday morning before they set off for Plymouth.

The squad underwent a 4 minute session where temperatures dropped down to around -120 celcius as they used the latest technology to help their bodies recover from Thursday night's game with Wolves and to prepare them for the match at Plymouth on Saturday.

Head of Sports Science Craig Smith said, "Physio Stuart Barker arranged for us to use the chamber – which is like a huge ice box – to speed up the recovery process of the squad. It helps ease stiffness, aches, strains, bumps and bruises and will ensure the lads are as well prepared as they can be for the game at Plymouth.

"We would like to thank Moulton College for their assistance with this."
