The views of the Cobblers boss
Aidy Boothroyd was happy as he saw pre-season draw to a close with a Cobblers XI drawing 2-2 at Kettering on Thursday night.
"I was really pleased with the game," he said on Cobblers Player.
"We have had some different types of games in pre-season, some technical, some possession based and this was a real test for some of the lads who needed the game time.
"I thought Henoc Mukendi acquitted himself well. It was a challenge for him and he rose to that and handled himself well.
"I have been really pleased with pre-season, we have managed the lads well to minimise the risk of injury, but we are just one player short in terms of recruitment.
"Work to get that player in is ongoing and it should be sorted before the Cardiff game on Tuesday."
