Northampton Town's youth team welcomed Stevenage to Moulton College on Saturday for their EFL Youth Alliance Merit Division fixture.

Morgan Roberts bagged a brace in a 4-1 victory for the Cobblers with Caleb Chukwuemeka and Tom Scott, making his debut from the under 16s, also on target.

"The boys were absolutely dominant from the start and were 3-0 up at half-time," said under 18s coach Jon Brady.

"It was great to see Tom playing his first game for the under 18s and we also had a player from the club's Football & Education programme in the side, Eric Ameyaw.

"We had a very young side out today but the boys controlled the game and it was another very pleasing all round performance."
