Northampton Town's youth team travelled to Southend United on Saturday for their latest EFL Youth Alliance Merit Division 1 action.

The Cobblers were beaten 3-1 with Haydn Price on target from the penalty spot for Jon Brady's side.

"Individual errors cost us," he said.

"We had another penalty at 2-1 which was missed and on another day we could have got something out of the game but when you gift a team two goals it is always going to be difficult."
