Northampton Town's youth team welcomed Luton Town to Moulton College on Tuesday for a re-arranged EFL Youth Alliance fixture.

The Cobblers fell behind but bounced back to win 2-1 thanks to a Sean Whaler penalty and a 25 yard free kick from Morgan Roberts.

"I was really pleased," said coach Jon Brady.

"We fell behind but showed excellent character to come back. We hit the post twiceand it would have been easy for heads to have dropped but we kept going and I was really pleased.

"We played on the front foot and there was plenty to be happy about."
