Northampton Town's youth team welcomed Gillingham to Moulton College on Saturday in their penultimate Football League Youth Alliance fixture of the season.

The Cobblers won the game 2-0, thanks to goals from Josh Urquhart and Michael Jacobs (penalty).

"We had a very young side out there with an eye on giving players an opportunity ahead of next season and so with that in mind I was very pleased with the win," said coach Sean Parrish.

"It was a very pleasing result. All of the lads played their part and they can be happy with how they performed."
