MEET SOME OF THE NEW YOUTH SCHOLARS

Posted on: Tue 21 Apr 2009

Courtney Cameron from Cherry Orchard in Northampton attends Weston Favell School. He has been with the Club since the age of 9 and has an excellent left foot and can play left back or left midfield.

Gregg Kaziboni (pictured) is another local lad who attends Kingsthorpe College. Gregg has only been with us for the past year having been spotted by our Centre of Excellence Coach, Shaun Carey. Gregg is noted for his enthusiasm, excellent work rate and ability to get box to box.

Will Green is yet another local lad who comes from Towcester and attends Sponne school. Will has also been at the Club since the age of 9 and is a tall, rangy center forward with an eye for a goal.

George Dukes is in his third season with us after spending his early years at Tottenham Hotspur. George can play in midfield or upfront and is certainly a technically gifted young player.

Charlie Death is from St Ives near Huntingdon and was offered a contract having trialled for us over the past 5 weeks.

Ben Islam can operate at right back or centre back and has shown that he is a footballing defender. He has spent the last few months playing for our U16's and come from the Luton area.

Michael Gherasim, our Romanian goalkeeper has certainly put in some impressive displays in Eddie McGoldrick's U16's side. He has bags of potential and is one for the future. He is looking to follow in his dads footsteps having played professional football for top Romanian side Steaua Bucharest.
