Northampton Town's youth team drew 1-1 with Luton Town at Moulton College on Saturday.
The Cobblers took the lead in the first half through Alex Konstantinou, but were pegged back after half time.
"We passed the ball well on a muddy surface but we were disappointed to concede in the second half," said coach Sean Parrish.
"We rested a few players ahead of the youth cup on Tuesday and overall I was pleased with the effort."
Meanwhile, the scheduled reserve team game at Peterborough, due to be played on Wednesday, has been postponed because of the FA Youth Cup 2nd round tie at Cambridge on Tuesday night.
