HARROP STAYING AT SIXFIELDS
Northampton Town Football Club are delighted to announce that Head of Youth Geoff Harrop will be staying with the club.
It had previously been announced that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season to take up a position elsewhere, but he will now be staying at Sixfields.
"I am delighted that Geoff will be staying with us," said Chairman David Cardoza.
"He has done a very good job over the last couple of years and I am very pleased that he will remain with us to continue his good work.
"Over the last few years we have seen an ever increasing number of professional players emerging from our youth system, and Geoff has put together an excellent coaching team made up of a number of former professional footballers, raising standards in the coaching we offer our young players.
"We have worked very hard over the last few weeks to convince Geoff to remain with us and I would also like to thank the parents of players in our youth team and Centre of Excellence who have also expressed their desire for Geoff to stay.
"The obvious progress we have made this season, both on and off the field, is down to a small but talented and committed staff at the club, and Geoff is an important part of that team. We are delighted he will continue to be a valued part of that group."
