Northampton Town's youth team welcomed Luton Town to Moulton College on Saturday in the Football League Youth Alliance.
The Cobblers lost an eventful game 3-2, with both goals for Sean Parrish's side coming from Wes Emery.
"We went 1-0 up and had plenty of chances to increase our lead," said Parrish. "Joe Benjamin missed a penalty and we had a number of other opportunities.
"Wes took his two goals very well but we conceded three sloppy goals and it was a case of missed chances costing us a result."
