Northampton Town's youth team welcomed Gillingham to Moulton College on Saturday for their latest Football League Youth Alliance fixture.
The Cobblers were beaten 2-0, by a side who coach Sean Parrish admitted deserved their victory.
"Gillingham were the better side throughout," he said. "I was disappointed but you have to give credit to our opponents and we never really looked like getting a result."
