Northampton Town's under 18s continued their Football League Youth Alliance Cup campaign on Saturday morning when they welcomed Wycombe Wanderers to Moulton College.

Despite Greg Taylor putting the Cobblers in front, Wycombe came back to win the game 2-1, a result which condemned Sean Parrish's side to their first defeat of the season.

"I was disappointed with the two goals we conceded," said Parrish.

"Their first was from a free kick which we didn't defend properly and the second came from a long ball.

"Wycombe are a decent side and full credit to them, they came and did a good job on us.

"I'm disappointed our unbeaten run has come to an end but hopefully we'll bounce back from this defeat as soon as possible."
