Northampton Town's under 18s travelled to Peterborough United on Saturday morning as they continued their Football League Youth Alliance Cup campaign.

The game at Posh ended goalless with coach Sean Parrish admitting afterwards that he was happy to have taken a point from what was a difficult game for his side.

"We took a bit of a battering in the first half and I was a bit disappointed at half-time," said Parrish.

"At half-time we changed a few things around and our performance improved in the second half.

"Greg Taylor had a good chance early on in the second half and Joe Benjamin had a goal disallowed but in the end I was just happy to have taken something from the game."
