COBBLERS STAGE CHRISTMAS CRACKER

Posted on: Thu 03 Dec 2009

Northampton Town Football Club staged a Christmas Cracker with the Cobblers players at the Black Bottom Club in Northampton on Wednesday night.

The event, sponsored by Jackson Grundy, saw the final of Northampton's Got Christmas Talent. Two singers made it through to the final, Keith Gamble and Dominic Karl. After the judging panel of Heart FM's Jagger & Woody and David Jackson of Jackson Grundy could not reach a majority decision, Dominic claimed the verdict from the audience and the prize of a Top Notch Gym membership and a weekend break at the London Marriott Maida Vale hotel.

That was followed by the Cobblers players taking part in the Weakest Link, hosted by Sue Cliffe, Northampton Town's very own Anne Robinson. Coach Sean Parrish was first to be voted off, a victim of a block vote from the players, followed by Chris Dunn, Craig Hinton and Alex Dyer. The final was between John Curtis and Steve Guinan, with Curtis the eventual victor.

The evening was rounded off by a Christmas disco.

Northampton Town would like to thank everyone who attended the event, and Jackson Grundy for their support. Thank you also to Gareth Kingston for the Weakest Link questions, and to Signs Express and Video Inn Production for their assistance.
