Around 300 guests attended a successful 1997 Wembley Reunion Dinner staged at the Park Inn in Northampton on Thursday night.

Just before dinner, members of the 1997 Wembley winning team were introduced and given a warm reception. Throughout dinner the official Wembley 1997 DVD was playing and that gave guests the chance to reminisce and reflect on that great day 10 years ago.

Dinner was followed by the magician performing a live cabaret show.

The 'Team Talk' feature proved popular, where Ian Atkins recalled the 1997 Play Off campaign, the semi final win over Cardiff, the build up to the big day itself, the final, the post match celebrations and the open top bus tour. Chairman and Vice Chairman Barry Ward and Barry Stonhill were joined by current Director Barry Hancock who all talked about what it was like to be on the Board of Directors at the time, while Premiership referee Pete Walton gave his view on the re-taken free kick. There were also memories from Ian Clarkson, Andy Woodman, Ian Sampson and Sean Parrish amongst others, with Parrish giving a unique view on his semi final goal at Cardiff.

There was then an auction of signed memorabilia, brilliantly conducted by Andy Woodman and members of the 1997 team, followed by a disco until late.
