Over 2000 people, including 600 players, attended the Cobblers Cup at Sixfields on Bank Holiday Monday.

The festival gave youngsters their first ever chance to play on the pitch in a professional football stadium, and will have hopefully won over a few new fans for the club ahead of the new season.

Pictured are Grange Park Rangers receiving their trophies for winning the under 10 competition. The trophies were supplied by Tailor Made Signs (www. tailormade-signs-embroidery.co.uk) and presented by youth team graduate Chris Dunn. In the under 9 tournament Brook End Colts overcame Kingsthorpe Jets Vulcans in the final.

Michael Jacobs popped by later on in the day too. He presented medals to youngsters in the under 7s and 8s.

The festival also played host to a raffle with 38 prizes (click here to see if you won), a speed-shot challenge with the winning speed set at 59.9 miles per hour, and a couple of visits from Clarence the Dragon.
