CHAIRMAN ENCOURAGED BY NUMBER OF NEW SEASON TICKET HOLDERS
Northampton Town Football Club have reminded supporters that they have until April 30th to take advantage of the discounted season tickets for next season, particularly the offer of £250 season tickets in the Dave Bowen Stand.
The club, who have significantly reduced prices for adult season tickets in that part of the ground, are delighted to report that so far, 20% of all season tickets sold for 2009/2010 are to new season ticket holders and 20% of all season tickets sold are for the Dave Bowen Stand.
"We are expecting a season ticket rush between now and the end of April," said Chairman David Cardoza.
"We have had a lot of calls from supporters checking the availability of seats and with other enquiries about season tickets, so we know there is significant interest out there, particularly in the £250 offer. Past experience also tells us that we do the vast majority of season ticket business in the last few weeks before the deadline and I am sure that will happen again.
"I think that is particularly the case this year. We have so many home games in the second half of April that I am sure people will sign up for 2009/2010 during that run of games. Our supporters will be visiting Sixfields four times from Easter Monday to the end of the month and we are geared up to accept applications in that period.
"For those who are new season ticket holders and who sign up early, they can of course get a free ticket for the MK Dons game on April 28 and that offer is proving popular.
"People are assuming there is a real doom and gloom about the place because of the last few results, but as far as season ticket sales are concerned, we are pleased with where we are at the moment, particularly as over 20% of all sales so far are to new season ticket holders. Attracting new season ticket holders is vitally important to us and the £250 season ticket seems to be working well on that front.
"Every season ticket we sell helps the club and increases our chances of success next season. We remain hopeful and confident that we will be playing in League One next season and we are all looking forward to the remaining seven matches.
"The players have had a few days to reflect on the Yeovil game and this 10 day break gives them a chance to recharge their batteries for one final, massive push.
"Four of our last 6 games are at home, we have games in hand on other teams and we know our fate is still very much in our hands."
