LATE GOALS HAND RESERVES DEFEAT
Three goals in the last 5 minutes condemned Northampton Town's reserves to defeat against Southend United at Roots Hall on Monday afternoon, but Giles Coke completed 90 minutes without any ill effects.
A brace from Shaun Goodall pulled the Cobblers level at 2-2 with five minutes to go in the Pontins Holiday Combination clash, but three late goals turned the game the way of the home side.
"Giles getting through 90 minutes was a big plus," said reserve team boss Ian Sampson. "We did well in the first half but I was disappointed with our second half display, and Giles Coke apart, there were not too many positives to take from the game."
