WHY YOUR QUESTIONNAIRE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
In the match programme for the game against Doncaster Rovers, and on this web site, Chairman David Cardoza and Director Tony Clarke stressed how important it is for fans to have their say on the re-development of Sixfields in the current West Northamptonshire Joint Core Strategy Questionnaire.
In the September 13th issue of the Northampton Chronicle & Echo, Ivan Moss, manager of the West Northamptonshire Joint Planning Unit, said, "If we had an overwhelming response on certain issues, they will be given weight. A substantial public campaign could well affect the outcome of policy decisions."
Tony Clarke said, "That is the biggest green light anyone could want. An enhanced community stadium is within our reach, within our grasp. All we need is for supporters to take 10 minutes of their time to complete the questionnaire.
"We have had many comments and messages of support, but what will really make a difference is for supporters to send in a completed questionnaire.
"If this consultation gives the re-development of Sixfields the go ahead, we could soon be sitting in a re-developed Sixfields stadium watching Championship football and increasing our work for the community of Northampton.
"This is a big chance for anyone who has ever followed the club to play their part and in future years to tell their children and grandchildren that they helped make that happen."
HAVE YOUR SAY ON THE SIXFIELDS RE-DEVELOPMENT. SEND IN YOUR LETTERS AND THE QUESTIONNAIRE TO THE COUNCIL BY OCTOBER 31. DO NOT LEAVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE TO HAVE YOUR SAY.
