Northampton Town signed former Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest defender John Curtis in July 2009.
The Nuneaton born player joined the Cobblers after a successful trial spell. Curtis started his career at Old Trafford, making 19 appearances before a £1.5 million move to Blackburn Rovers in 2003. At Ewood Park he played 78 times before short spells with both Leicester City and Portsmouth. He then spent two years at Nottingham Forest, playing 90 times before a short spell at QPR. He ended last season making 13 appearances for Wrexham.
