Northampton Town signed Arsenal defender Paul Rodgers in the summer of 2009 after a loan spell the previous season. Paul is a versatile defender who made his first team debut for the Gunners in their Carling Cup semi final at Burnley in 2008/2009. He was a regular at both Reserve and Academy levels for Arsenal. The London born defender is a strong and athletic player who can play at right back or centre-half and appeared during some first team pre-season friendlies for the Gunners in the summer of 2008.
