GRAY YET TO DECIDE ON PRE-SEASON DATE
Stuart Gray said he is still considering whether or not to add a game on Saturday August 2nd to the Cobblers pre-season fixture list.
"Generally, I am pleased with our pre-season schedule. I think it is well balanced," he said.
"I may add another game to the list on Saturday August 2nd. I am waiting on a few phone calls about that.
"It is getting ever harder to fix up games against Premier League sides. A lot of them go abroad now or are waiting for tournaments to be organised or confirmed and that has a knock on effect to clubs like us when we are fixing up our games.
"I may decide to not have a game on that weekend (August 2nd). You need to get a balance between giving the players a pre-season to test them but not going overboard and I may wait until nearer the time to see how pre-season has gone before deciding what to do.
"If we don't play that day, we have the option of training and it could also give me and my staff the chance to go scouting players or to watch some of our early opponents in their final pre-season games, so at the moment I am undecided about that weekend and will make a decision nearer the time."
