Stuart Gray wants his players to build on the 1-1 draw at Southend United when Oldham Athletic visit Sixfields on Saturday.

We're evens with bet365 to grab all three points, but if you don't fancy our chances, there's a host of other betting opportunities on offer, including First Goalscorer. You can nab a decent price just by putting your team knowledge to good use. Because bet365 are committed to offering first goalscorer betting on every League club's game, they can sometimes get caught out by shrewd customers all too aware of a certain player's run of goalscoring form. This weekend, Andy Holt is 22/1 to score first, but if you think Adebayo Akinfenwa is more likely to score, then his odds are 11/2. But, like we said, it might pay to skirt a bit further down the betting list to hunt out the value. Visit bet365 for more first goalscorer odds.

"I think with the problems we had the players did really well at Southend and full credit to them for that," said the Cobblers boss.

"I've always challenged the players to be the best trainers and the best players and you can never just turn up and expect things to happen for you, you have got to make them happen.

"The intensity that the players are still training at is very good for this stage of the season and all credit to them for that.

"We have double training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays and when you are training with the ball for an hour and a half that is going to be intense but come Saturday if you don't put your maximum in during the week you are going to get found out.

"We want to beat our points tally from last season and we also want to beat our league position from last season as well.

"I thought we more than matched Southend in the first half last Saturday, we tired a little bit in the second half but I think that was down to fatigue and the bug we were carrying.

"We really pushed a good Southend side back at times though and full credit to the players they kept going right to the end.

"Oldham will still be thinking that they've got an outside chance of making the play-offs as well and what John Sheridan has done in recent weeks is to give a few of his youngsters a run out.

"I think it will be a high energy game on Saturday but we got a good result up at their place so we've got a good opportunity to do the double over them.

"My players are giving their absolute all at the moment, they are going to make mistakes but all I can ask from them is to work hard in training and to learn from those mistakes and to improve in games as well."
