In a bid to boost attendances, Northampton Town are on a drive to attract new sets of fans attending in groups, be they from local grass roots teams, community groups, schools or businesses. To do this, the club is proud to announce not just one, but three incentives; ticket discounts, rewards for group leaders and exclusive experiences for the groups themselves.

The club have bought in a new employee, Joss Sheldon, to run the scheme. Joss has previous experience of running the youth marketing at Burnley Football Club in the season they made it to the semi final of the Carling Cup, and has also worked for Goals Soccer Centres. He studied on the MBA Football Industry degree at Liverpool University, and has completed an internship with Deloitte's Sports Business Group.

Any group of 10 or more people attending the same game together will be entitled to 15% off tickets this season, whilst groups of 20 or more paying fans are entitled to a massive 30% saving. Adult tickets will therefore start at just £12.50, whilst child tickets will cost just £3.50 for any home league game.

The club is looking for loyal fans to help bring new supporters through the gates, by encouraging colleagues, class mates, and community group members to come along to Sixfields. A number of rewards are on offer in return, including signed items, match tickets, corporate hospitality, and a day watching the squad train followed by lunch with the team. There will also be exclusive group experiences for those organisations who attend games in large enough numbers. These will include post-match penalty shoot outs, parades, flag waving, walking out with the players, player appearances, performances for dance groups and a match on the pitch.
