SEASON TICKET SALES INCREASING AHEAD OF IMMINENT DEADLINE

Posted on: Wed 21 Apr 2010

Northampton Town are reminding supporters that the season ticket discount period for the West and Alwyn Hargrave Stands passes at 5pm on Friday April 30th, and to avoid queues on the last day the club are encouraging those supporters who can to get their season ticket applications in as soon as possible.

Season ticket sales at Sixfields have already broken through the 1,500 barrier for 2010/2011, with the rate of sales increasing daily as the deadline approaches.

"The £199 Dave Bowen Stand offer proved a success and by the end of March we had sold around 600 season tickets for that stand," said Chairman David Cardoza.

"That means, even before the matchday walk up, the stand will be around two thirds full for each game next season and that should help generate a terrific atmosphere behind the goal.

"The offer of a free junior season ticket for each adult season ticket purchased in the Alwyn Hargrave Stand is another incentive that has worked, and we are looking forward to seeing even more families in that stand next season.

"Even though the discount period for the Dave Bowen Stand has ended, we are still selling season tickets in that area on a daily basis.

"But, the bulk of activity, as you would expect, is now in the other stands. We know from previous years that we do the majority of our season ticket business in the last week before the end of April deadline and we expect that to be the case again.

"In that week, tickets will also be on sale for the Bradford and Bury games so it will be a busy week at the Box Office and we are saying to supporters that if they can and want to buy now then they will avoid the rush.

"I think this has been our most exciting season ticket sales period for years with different incentives and offers. We are bang on target with where we hoped to be, and if the brisk business we are doing now picks up as we expect it to before the Friday week deadline, we will be delighted."

Supporters are asked to call 01604 683777 for more information.
