The deadline of March 31 to secure one of the cheapest professional football season tickets in the UK is approaching fast.

Northampton Town fans have less than a week to secure their seat for 2010/2011 at the lowest price (£199) and enjoy a host of privileges with their season ticket.

The Sixfields Box Office have reported encouraging sales to date with dozens of season tickets being sold every day.

With that in mind, availability in some areas of the Dave Bowen Stand is now becoming limited and the club are encouraging those who have not purchased their seat for 2010/2011 to do so as soon as possible.

At close of business (5pm) on March 31, a season ticket in the Dave Bowen Stand will increase to £350.

"We have seen a noticeable increase in sales compared to this time last year," said Chairman David Cardoza.

"I am pleased and what seems to be particularly encouraging is the number of new season ticket holders we have attracted, and also the number of previously lapsed season ticket holders who have returned.

"I am sure they have been convinced by both the offer and the quality of football we are playing."

One season ticket holder, who has purchased a seat for next season having not done so for a few years has been explaining why he decided to do so.

"I let my season ticket go a few years ago as I missed about 3 to 4 games a year," said Mr Young of Wellingborough.

"This £199 offer rewards the committed season ticket holder which is how it should be. Both I and my son have purchased season tickets and we are already looking forward to next season given the way the lads are playing."
