NEW SEASON TICKET HOLDER RECOGNISES VALUE

Posted on: Mon 22 Mar 2010

As the deadline for £199 season tickets draws near (supporters have until 5pm on March 31 to claim one of the cheapest season tickets in the country), one of the supporters who has been tempted by the offer that works out at just over £8 per game has told us why he decided to buy a season ticket for the first time.

Simon Leonard has been a Cobblers fan since before the move to Sixfields, but over the last few years, because of work commitments, he has only been able to attend around half the games. Even so, he recognised the savings a £199 season ticket can offer.

"The season ticket is really good value," he said.

"I have never been a season ticket holder before but this offer was just too good to miss.

"Even for someone like me who cannot make evening games and some of the Saturday matches for work reasons, it still represents a good saving.

"I usually can get to around half the home games, but the £199 season ticket will still save me around £30. Not only that, but it means the seat I like to sit in is mine all for every game I can get to. I can sit where I want to without the worry of having to buy my seat every time.

"I found it very easy to buy the season ticket. I popped into the club shop and within 2 minutes it was all sorted and I would certainly recommend it.

"Of course, the way the lads are playing at the moment was another factor. £199 is great value for League 2 football, but if we can get promoted then £199 for League 1 is a steal!"
